CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:

October 9, 2019: Wet weather the last couple of weeks has delayed progress; Pave 148th Street today, work on median surfacing this week, and anticipate finishing turn lanes at 144th end of next week; Work on sidewalks in phase 3, working west to east, north side first; Install sod on side street properties this week; Continue working on traffic signal at 148th St.; Continue staining retaining walls (property side) and installing fences on walls; Repair sprinklers on side streets; Striping is likely towards end of October.

Weather will continue to play a role in the project's progress; contractor's intent is to finish mainline work and open Harrison Street to traffic, lane closures would be required to finish sidewalks, etc.

THIS MILE-LONG ROADWAY PROJECT IS BEING IMPROVED FROM A TWO-LANE TO A FOUR-LANE ARTERIAL WITH TURN LANES AND MEDIANS.

The improvements will reduce travel time and congestion as well as improve safety. Construction is being completed in phases to minimize impacts for local access.

Wet weather has delayed some of the construction progress the last week or two. For a look at what’s ahead in the next two weeks (weather dependent, of course), head over to our project website: www.harrisonstreetproject.com.

We’re all anxious to get Harrison back open! Thanks for your patience!
